The company DESKO a.s. productively on S/4HANA

We are pleased to announce that the decisive phase of the project of conversion of the SAP information system into the HANA database and the S/4HANA system for DESKO a.s. has been completed. Since the 2nd of September 2019 the customer’s users have been productively using this new generation business information system solution.

The project was launched in September 2018. After the initial analysis of the readiness of the SAP DESKO system for the transition to S/4HANA, we gradually went through the individual technical and application steps of conversion, preparation of customer development, user training, or extensive testing. Through the gradual conversion of the development and testing system, we specified the production system transition schedule and the scope of the newly implemented functionality that S/4HANA brings with it in the current version 1809. Thanks to the support of the customer’s management, exemplary cooperation of its key users, and the competence of the implementation team, the approved schedule of the conversion project were adhered to, including the planned shutdown of the production system (3 working days), which was one of the customer’s key requirements.

At present, there is increased support for DESKO users and the resolution of minor errors that resulted from the conversion. At the same time, we are preparing for the second wave of a significant expansion of process support using a new user interface – SAP FIORI.
